5 servings of fruits & vegetables

More fruits and vegetables with a goal of 5 servings a day!!!

Fruits and vegetables need to be at the core of every meal. ½ cup on average equals a serving size. The balance should be on vegetables with a goal of 3 veggies and 2 fruits. Helpful references for the “picky eater“ or just the toddler who does not want to eat them. A few links to references to stop the food fight. Local farmers markets are a great resource for fresh in season vegetables. Encourage your child to help engage in the process from picking the vegetables and even cooking them with you. The more they are involved the more help you get with both meal prep and trying new things. Find your references to helpful websites here for recipes and to help you solve your food challenges.
